Consultations

The key to applying the Dog Listener approach is the home visit. The consultation takes place with us visiting you and your dog in your own home; this is because:

You and your dog will both act more naturally in your own surroundings.
You will be able to see exactly what we do – you will see there is no mystery or trickery to the method.
You will see everything and be able to ask any questions so that you are left in no doubt as to how the method works and the techniques used to apply it.

The home visit usually lasts between 2-3 hours, during which time you will learn why your dog is behaving the way it is, and what it is actually thinking.

Once you understand your dog, we then give you simple actions to perform when in contact with it, enabling you to communicate with your dog and show it that the undesirable behaviour is no longer necessary.

Your dog will cease its undesirable behaviour OF ITS OWN FREE WILL - this is nearly always evident during the time we are with you.

We will provide you with clear, written instructions in how to apply the method.

After the consultation, we will be just a phone call away in case you have any further questions, require some extra advice or simply reassurance.

This aftercare service is completely free of charge and always available in case you need it - whether days, weeks or months have elapsed since the consultation.

Dog Listening is an on-going process, giving you and your dog time to learn, secure in the knowledge that we are always available if you need us.
